Certificate Programs
The Abraham S. Fischler School of Education certificate programs are intended for professional development and/or recertification purposes. Each certificate program has been uniquely designed for the intended specialty area. These certificate programs are not designed for alternative route to licensure or initial teacher certification/licensure. A certificate/Non-degree seeking applicant must submit the following in order for admission and registration eligibility:
- A completed admission application form with a $50.00 non-refundable application fee.
- Evidence of one of the following documents:
- A valid teaching certificate/license, or
- A bachelor’s or a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
The Certificate of Educational Leadership Modified Core requires an applicant to possess an earned Master’s degree for admission and submit the testing to exit the certificate.
NOTE:
As a certificate/non-degree seeking student you are not guaranteed acceptance into a degree-seeking program. After enrolling in the non-degree course(s), you must submit a new application to become degree seeking. The student must also meet the requirements for admission of the intended program of study.
Non-degree seeking students are eligible to enroll in a maximum of 16 credit hours with the exception of the Certificate of Educational Leadership Modified Core.
The Certificate Programs are not eligible for financial aid with the exception of the Distance Educator Certificate and the Certificate of Educational Leadership Modified Core.
